Muriel and DeVere “Curt” Curtis were among the first 100 pioneer families to settle on Key Biscayne in the early 1950s. Curt was employed by the Mackle Corporation. Muriel was active in many civic organizations on the island, including the Women’s Club, the Beach Club, and the Music and Drama Club. Together they were active in the Key Biscayne Yacht Club.
